Representatives from Harris Teeter, Guilford County Schools, and Healthier Generation gathered to celebrate the donation and the generosity of Harris Teeter customers, whose round-up purchases made the contribution possible.

The 2026 Together in Education Round Up Campaign is now underway, giving customers the opportunity to support healthier futures for young people.

GREENSBORO, NC, UNITED STATES, August 18, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Alliance for a Healthier Generation is celebrating a $315,000 donation from Harris Teeter, raised through the retailer's Together in Education Round Up Campaign last fall. Commemorated during a recent check presentation, the contribution will help advance programs and partnerships to create healthier school environments for young people across communities served by Harris Teeter.

"The generosity from Harris Teeter and its customers will help us support more schools and communities to implement whole child health best practices," said Traci Causey, CEO, Healthier Generation. "We're proud to continue this partnership and grateful to everyone who chose to round up their purchase. Together, we're helping create healthier school communities where every young person can thrive."

The donation will support Healthier Generation’s work to provide schools and youth-serving organizations with resources, training, and technical assistance that connect health and learning.

Healthier Generation is one of four nonprofit organizations supported through Harris Teeter's Together in Education Round Up Campaign. The campaign also benefits Communities In Schools, The Salvation Army, and Classroom Central, helping strengthen educational opportunities and supporting students, educators, and families across the communities Harris Teeter serves.

Since 1998, Harris Teeter has contributed more than $34 million through its Together in Education programs. The 2025 Together in Education Round Up Campaign raised more than $1 million collectively for its nonprofit partners, demonstrating the impact customers can make through small acts of generosity.

Building on the success of last year's campaign, Harris Teeter has once again selected Healthier Generation as a beneficiary of the 2026 Together in Education Round Up Campaign. Through September 30, customers shopping at Harris Teeter stores and fuel centers can round up their purchases to the nearest whole dollar at checkout. Funds raised will continue supporting Healthier Generation and its fellow nonprofit partners as they work to improve the lives of children, families, and communities across the Southeast.

Healthier Generation encourages shoppers throughout Harris Teeter's service area—including North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, Maryland, Delaware, Florida, and Washington, D.C.—to participate in this year's campaign by rounding up at checkout. Every donation helps expand opportunities for young people to lead healthier lives.
