STU LAW MARKS CONSTITUTION DAY WITH JUSTICE MUÑIZ LECTURE

Florida Supreme Court Justice Carlos G. Muñiz, second from the right in the first row, delivered a lecture titled, “A Catholic Judge’s Perspective on the Law,” at the St. Thomas University College of Law's Constitution Day celebration. Justice Muñiz discussed the relationship between faith, the law, and judicial service.
St. Thomas University College of Law marked Constitution Day September 17 with a program featuring Florida Supreme Court Justice Carlos G. Muñiz, who delivered a lecture titled, “A Catholic Judge’s Perspective on the Law.”
Muñiz discussed the relationship between faith, the law, and judicial service before participating in a question-and-answer session with Professor David R. Upham and Jake DeChick, president of the Student Bar Association.
The program brought together students, faculty, staff, and guests to reflect on the U.S. Constitution and the perspectives that inform judicial service.
Dean Tarlika Nuñez-Navarro welcomed attendees and introduced Muñiz. The program also included an opening prayer by Gabriella Gonzalez, president of the Chronicles of Faith Society, and the Pledge of Allegiance led by Jacob Espinosa, president of the Federalist Society.
The Constitution Day program concluded with remarks from Nuñez-Navarro.
